Shri Ravi Venkatesan, Group Chairman

Mr. Ravi Venkatesan is the founder Chairman of Social Venture Partners India, a national network of philanthropists addressing social problems through venture philanthropy. Ravi is a Venture Partner at impact investor Unitus Seed Fund and serves on the boards of Rockefeller Foundation, Infosys Ltd, and Strand Lifesciences. He is the author of an acclaimed book "Conquering the Chaos: Win in India, Win Everywhere" published by Harvard Business Review.

Prior to this, as Chairman of Microsoft India between 2004 and 2011, Ravi helped build India into Microsoft's second-largest presence in the world. He was instrumental in creating Microsoft India’s Project Shiksha, a computer literacy program which has so far trained over 40 million school children in India. Prior to Microsoft, Ravi was the Chairman of publicly held Cummins India and led its transformation into India’s leading provider of engines and power solutions. He helped establish the Cummins College of Engineering, India's first engineering college for women, in Pune.

Ravi has a BS from IIT Bombay, an MS from Purdue University, and an MBA from Harvard Business School where he was a Baker Scholar. He is a recipient of the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay’s Distinguished Alumnus Award and Purdue University's Distinguished Engineering Alumnus Award. He was voted as one of India's best management thinkers by Thinkers50.

Shri P. S. Jayakumar, Group MD & CEO

Mr. P. S. Jayakumar, 53 years is a Chartered Accountant by qualification and additionally holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management from XLRI Jamshedpur. He also has the distinction of being a Chevening Gurukool Scholar through the London School of Economics and Political Science.

Prior to his appointment as MD & CEO of Bank of Baroda, he was the Co-founder and CEO of VBHC Value Budget Housing (VBHC), a leader in housing for low and moderate income household from 2009 onwards. He was also the Co-founder and Non-Executive Promoter Director for Home First Finance Company, a housing finance institution regulated by the NHB, focused on financing customers who are not able to access mortgage loans from the banking sector.

He is a career banker and has spent over 23 years in Citibank in India and Singapore starting in 1986. He has contributed to several innovations in retail banking in India. In addition, he was associated with the first asset securitisation in India in 1991 and the first multi-lingual biometric ATM for the financially excluded in 2006.

Mr. Jayakumar has held diverse assignments while at Citibank such as Treasurer - Consumer Bank, Business Development Head covering deposit and lending business, Managing Director for Citifinancial Ltd, Managing Director and Head of Citibank Consumer Loan for Asia Pacific Countries (covering Indonesia, Philippines, Australia, Thailand, Hong Kong and Korea), Country Head - Citibank Consumer Business and Head of Balance Sheet Management - Asia Pacific. Mr. P. S. Jayakumar has also served as a Board Member in many of Citibank’s subsidiaries in India.

Mr. Jayakumar is an avid cyclist and plays squash and golf in his spare time.

Shri. Mayank K Mehta, Chairman

Shri Mayank K. Mehta assumed the charge as Executive Director of Bank of Baroda on 22nd January, 2016. Prior to his elevation as Executive Director of Bank of Baroda, he was General Manager and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Union Bank of India.

Born on 12th September, 1958, Shri Mehta holds a Bachelors degree in Science from South Gujarat University and is also a Certificated Associate of Indian Institute of Banking and Finance (CAIIB).

Shri Mehta started his career in Union Bank of India in 1977 and rose to the position of General Manager in October 2012. He has held wide range of responsibilities in various capacities before his elevation as General Manager of Union Bank of India. Mr. Mehta, an expert in International Banking, has also been instrumental in technological development of the Bank and successful implementation of Core Banking Solution of the Bank.

Mr. Mehta was a Director on the Board of Union KBC Asset Management Company Private Limited, a Subsidiary of Union Bank of India. He was also a Director on the Board of KITCO Limited (formerly Kerala Industrial and Technical Consultancy Organisation Ltd.) between years 2010-12.

Mr. Praveen Kumar Kattekola, Managing Director

Mr. Praveen Kumar Kattekola, 55 years, a Chartered Accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. Prior to joining the bank, he was in professional practice for 10 years. He has 18 years of banking experience and worked in various capacities including Manager Credit, Branch Head etc., in Bank of Baroda. He has also worked as internal auditor in Bank of Baroda, New York for 4 years. Prior to this assignment, he was working as Assistant General Manager, Compliance in Corporate Office, Bank of Baroda. He has taken charge of the Bank of Baroda (Ghana) Ltd in OCT, 2017.

Larry Kwesi Jiagge, Director

Larry Kwesi Jiagge is one of the most respected insurance professionals in the insurance industry in Ghana and across the West African Region.

He is a Barrister At Law, a Chartered Insurer and a Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute of London (FCII). He is now associated with RMAS (Risk Management and Advisory Services Ltd.,) involved in the provision of insurance services and consultancy.

A stickler for best corporate governance, Larry presently serves on a number of governing Boards – including, Donewell Life Insurance Co. Ltd. (Chairman), Anlo Rural Bank Ltd. (Chairman), Bank of Baroda Gh. Ltd., Community Microfinance Co. Ltd., Association of Rural Banks (Volta Chapter) Vice President, Keta Business Senior High School – Chairman and the Board of ARB – Apex Bank Ltd.

He is an active Rotarian and a past President of the Rotary Club of Accra South and his hobbies include farming, philanthropy, study of world affairs and cultural differences and watching cartoons.

Mrs. Ruth Naa Korkoi Nyakotey, Company Secretary

Mrs. Ruth Nyakotey is a Senior Member of the Ghana Bar. Her area of specialization is in International trade and Investments law.

She worked in the Attorney Generals’ Department in Ghana for a year before joining the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre in December 1977 as a Legal Advisor. During her 30 years’ service at the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre, she worked in various capacities as Legal Advisor, Solicitor secretary, Director of Investor Services, Director of Legal Services and Solicitor Secretary, Deputy Chief Executive and Acting Chief Executive. Working in those capacities, she contributed actively in her areas of specialization which include Investment Dispute Settlement, Drafting of investment laws, negotiation of Bilateral Investment Treaties and Double Taxation Agreements.

Mrs. Nyakotey has also worked as a Consultant to many International Development Agencies such as UNIDO, UNCTC, ECOWAS and has worked with UNCTAD as a resource person in its capacity building programme on the negotiation of Bilateral Investment Treaties. She is a member of the Ghana Arbitration Centre. Presently, she manages Messrs. Rutben Associates, a legal and investment consulting firm.
